The Beginning of Something Great

Hi, I'm David, and I'm a software engineer based in Nigeria. I'm excited to start this blog and share my thoughts and ideas with you. I'll be writing about a variety of topics, including software engineering, sometimes the blockchain, and possibly even philosophical thoughts.

This isn't actually my first blog, but it's the first blog on this domain. I have always loved talking about things that take a lot of real estate on my mind, and I think it's about time I start sharing them with the world.

Why this blog?

Well to be fair, this blog wasn't the first thing that came to my mind.

I contemplated just using a Medium blog since that would be easy... and I might even use it still.

LinkedIn doesn't seem like a great place to just post random things. You can do it, but it doesn't just feel right for me.

So, yeah I decided to go with this instead since it actually conveys a lot about my experience and expertise beyond the projects I work on.

My Thoughts on Writing

Although writing has never been something I enjoyed doing and I would prefer to speak than actually write, I really love reading and I am constantly in awe of how different authors use words to paint pictures in my mind.

I'm not much of a writer, but I'm a decent story teller, quick learner and I like to create things that I can share with the world even though not a lot of people may see it. I believe writing is a skill that improves with practice, so I'm hoping that this blog will help me become a better writer.
